Q. What is so different from an Entrepreneur and your average business person? What is so different about what an entrepreneur does?
A short description of an entrepreneur might be someone who starts up their own business and solely takes on all the risks that come with it. They are usually very driven people with a great amount of self-motivation.
While you could say the same for your average business person, there are quite a few differences that make entrepreneurs a cut above the rest. A business person might work day in and day out on a 9-5 job for someone else, progressing up the company ladder so to speak. Where as an entrepreneur may well work 9-5 themselves, but they are their own boss and set their own rules. They don’t progress up the company ladder, they build the ladder!.hem
What an entrepreneur does is they always find ways to streamline their business in order to gain maximum efficiency and maximum profits. A business person probably doesn’t really care about these things (unless that is explicitly their job) and as such they are less inclined to make changes. a lot of business people don’t have the power to make the changes even if they wanted to , which is another negative side of working for someone else.
Entrepreneurs have to take measured risks. They must weigh the pro’s and con’s of their actions, because every action they take will ultimately effect them and their business. This makes them sharp, and very critical of every nuance of their business. Your average business person however doesn’t have this type of burden, as company decisions are not made by them, they don’t need to worry so much about the outcome of their actions. They are after all just doing their job as they have been told to do.
An entrepreneur is not afraid to mix things up and do things not considered the ‘norm’ in the business world. This is what makes them so unique, their ability to think outside of the box can sometimes lead them onto groundbreaking new money making idea’s. That is what an entrepreneur does.
