Tips for New Entrepreneurs and Home Based Business Owners

1 Be Consistent. You need to be willing to get up every morning and know that you will be working on your business. While you are in the learning curve, you will do it day after day until you get it right. Consistency is key because otherwise you might quit. We do not want that to happen. So make a plan. Have a list everyday as to what you want to accomplish and when and then execute that list. When you do that every day, you will see results. In the end, that is the goal, to see results. Stay on course, don’t vary, get it done.
2. Be Self Motivated. No more bosses telling you what to do. No more coworkers pressuring you to get something done. You are on your own. You are the only person that knows what you should be doing and when you should be doing it. In some ways this is great and in some ways this is scary. There is no one looking over your shoulder to keep you motivated. Know that you will have to remain self motivated. It is not something that can come and go. Surround yourself with other like minded people that will help keep you motivated. Find a community that provides that kind of support. Set goals and achieve them. Stay focused.
3. Take Big, Big Action. Choose a product that provides excellent support and training. There should be frequent conference calls and webinars. There should be an exceptionally strong back office to teach you new skills. There should be online support and others that you can reach by phone if you have a question. You should have a sponsor to guide you through the learning curve. When all that is in place, follow the lead of other successful entrepreneurs. Make a plan, learn one skill at a time, master it, then go on to the next skill. Do as much as humanly possible to reach your goals. Take massive action.
While you are learning the new skills necessary to become a successful entrepreneur, strive for progress not perfection. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You will make mistakes and have failures and you will learn from them. If you expect to be perfect, you could become disillusioned and quit. This is another reason why you want to have a support group of other successful entrepreneurs surrounding you. We have all worked our way through this learning curve. Stay on track and look for consistent progress.
The culmination of being consistent, self motivated and taking big, big action is finding your why. Why do you want to be a successful entrepreneur? Is it for financial freedom? Is it so you will have more time with your family and friends? Do you feel you have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and it is time to capitalize on it? Are you just tired of being an employee? Whatever your why, believe in it totally, do the work necessary to achieve success and you will become the entrepreneur that you havve always wanted to be.
Being a successful entrepreneur becomes who you are, not just what you do. It is in your spirit. Do it right, with integrity. Do it in the spirit of helping and serving others. Be a success and bring others success. Successful entrepreneurs are leaders that develop other leaders on their team. After you become consistent, self motivated and are taking massive action, teach others to do it too. You will find your why, be it money, time or whatever else. You will achieve success and you will be thrilled to see others achieve success through your leadership and mentoring.
So, get started. Take action. Find your why and move forward. There is absolutely no one standing in your way but you. Being a successful entrepreneur is a great ride. Take the first step and then follow other successful entrepreneurs to your own riches.
