J&K Handicraft exhibition opens in capital

New Delhi: An exclusive exhibition of Handicrafts of Jammu & Kashmir “Nayab” was inaugurated by Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad, here on Tuesday.
On the occasion Azad said that Kashmir’s handicrafts are unparallel with wide exclusivity in variety. He said the handicrafts of other two regions of state, (Jammu and Ladakh) also require to be promoted along with from the region of Kashmir.
This sector requires helping hand for its promotion; he said the initiative was taken for setting up of International Trade Centre at Srinagar, during his tenure as Chief Minister, needs to be pursued vigorously. Once establishes, the centre will provide platform to promote the crafts of the State at global level.
The Exhibition at Shilpi Haat, Rajiv Gandhi Handicrafts Bhawan will remain open till 18th December. (AIP)
