How it looks?

The LG Cookie has a slim profile and stylish looks. The LG Cookie fits comfortably in your palm. The phone has nice plastic buttons that are quite comfy to use. It is light weight and has a 3 inches wide touch screen on its face. The touch screen is haptic and provides a vibratory feedback when you touch it with your finger or stylus.

User interface

The LG Cookie which is also known as the LG KP501 and KP500 has a very user friendly tactile responsive user interface. The menus are large in size and look appealing. This interface allows you to affix a friend’s photograph in the speed dial feature. You can browse the portraits and touch the contact that you want to call. The interface is highly customizable and intuitive.

Stylus

The LG KP501 Cookie is probably the thinnest phone with a stylus compartment on the market. The stylus located in a compartment at the base of the handset can be used for writing text memos and messages. You can also use the stylus to edit photos on the display screen.

Camera

The Cookie phone has a 3.2 Mega pixel camera. The camera enables you to adjust the exposure and white balance. You can opt to choose night settings. The camera supports still photography and moving photographs also. The camera gives decent quality photographs only in good light conditions as it has no flash. In poor light conditions and fast motion shots it fails to deliver the goods.

Entertainment

The phone has an audio player that supports WMA format, MP3 music format & AAC format. You can transfer music files to the audio player from a PC or laptop using the USB connectivity port of the LG Cookie. There is a radio for added entertainment.

The LG KP500 Cookie supports video playback in 3GP video format & MPEG4 format. The phone has modest video footage recording abilities.

The phone supports Java games, embedded games and downloaded games for entertainment.

The Cookie from LG has a wap 2 internet browser that helps to access the internet to browse sites and buy ring tones. In fact the phone supports polyphonic and MP3 ring tones. The phone supports SMS and E-mail sending and receiving. You can share photos taken on the mobile and video footage recorded on the LG phone with family and friends using the MMS facility.

Other features

The KP501 has a hands free speaker call feature that lets you hear your contact talking on the speakers for a hands free call. Blue tooth technology allows wireless listening and sharing of files with friends as well.

It also has GPRS to aid navigation.

The phone has 3.5 hours talk time and a stand by time of up to 15 days. Memory is confined to 48 MB but can be augmented to 8 GB using a micro SD memory card slot.
