Today I will talk about the Mizuno JPX E500 Iron Set. It comes as a 5-PW set standard with Nippon NS Pro 950GH. Mizuno HT Graphite shafts and addional clubs are availabe at an extra cost.
The UDS technology enhances stability and maximizes the energy transferred on impact by minimizing the side to side and up and down vibrations. This mid-sized cavity back is great for mid to low handicappers.
Featuring Mizuno’s UDS technology (Ultimate Dynamic Stability), the E500 forged is one of Mizunos most forgiving irons ever. The super large sweet spot and low center of gravity helped by tungsten weights in the sole and progressive cavity depth produce trajectory optimized for maximum distance.
The JPX performs with the MOI equivalent of a head measuring 500cc. The super large sweet spot and low centr of gravity produce trajectory optimized for maximum distance. I just got them a few weeks ago and think they are a fantastic iron for a mid-handicapper like myself and probably also for single-digit guys as well depending on their tastes. I was playing with MP-27s which I liked but the JPX are noticably more forgiving and still give a forged feel at impact. I will say not as butter-soft feeling as the MPs but still you feel the compression of the ball. Chris put NS1050s on them at my request, and I like the result, very stable feeling club, lets me swing with confidence.
This Mizuno Iron get a strong recommendation from me as well. I’ve never played with any other JDM irons, so I don’t know how they compare against epons/tourstage/etc. I had a set of mx-25s before, and i think the feel on the jpx is softer and much more forgiving. I have the ns950 shafts in them and love the combination.

The Forged is a very good iron. It is indeed geared towards mid and even low handicappers looking for forgiveness.
