Catch 22 Capital / Catch 22 Entertainment hires new Marketing Department Head
WASHINGTON D.C., January 31, 2010 C-22 Entertainment’s CEO Anthony Millan, has named Susan Wrenn, former Senior Marketing Executive for Paramount Pictures, to be head of his company’s marketing department. As C-22 expands from their financing division, C-22 Capital Investment, this appointment couldn’t come at a better time. The new Catch 22 Entertainment has taken on the role of a full production studio, distribution entity, and marketing firm; all to enhance C22’s position within the film industry.
Millan states, Susan’s vast experience and contacts in the film industry are invaluable to C-22 Capital and our new Catch 22 Entertainment as we grow the company. Her tremendous drive and innovative approach to marketing perfectly meshes with our vision to bring quality firms with great production value to the marketplace. In addition, C-22 Entertainment president Mack Machen exclaims, Susan recognizes the value of blending mainstream marketing with initiatives that take full advantage of new media and social networking, and ideal approach for our slate of films present and future. It certainly seems as if C-22 is excited to have her working, which considering her list of qualifications doesn’t seem unwarranted.
Wrenn held numerous positions during her 20-year tenure at Paramount. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Media Direction, by construction media campaigns for over 300 feature films including Titanic, Braveheart, Forrest Gump, What Women Want, Runaway Bride, Save the Last Dance, Jackass, Mission Impossible, and more. As the Media Director, she was solely responsible for the paid advertising activities for the movies, as well as investments in radio/television, internet, print, and various other forms of creative promotional activities.
Wrenn was key in securing 30-year film industry veteran Clark Woods as a film distribution consultant to Catch 22 for the company’s film sales and distribution strategy. Prior to Catch 22 Capital / Catch 22 Entertainment, Woods served as Presidnet of Domestic Distribution at MGM (Metro Goldwyn Meyer), and oversaw all the aspects of their revitalized theatrical distribution operations in North America. Before MGM, Woods spent 27 years with Paramount Pictures, where he met Susan Wrenn. Together, they worked on many award-winning films, such as Forrest Gump and Titanic.
[I am] Poised to meet the demand for quality independent films, supported by the completely fresh, innovative marketing campaigns, tailored to reach various segments of the audience for each film notes Wrenn, adding, Clark is a great talent and colleague of many years with whom I’m delighted to collaborate in establishing and furthering the Catch 22 name. We share a passion for the company’s upcoming feature projects and a vision for bringing these films to the widest possible audience.. Everyone at Catch 22 Entertainment is thrilled to have assembled such an experienced and driving team, and it seems now the sky’s the limit for this Independent Film Production team.
