No Recession For Prime Location Property In Marbella

A 500,000 budget for a two bedroom apartment between Puerto Baus and the Copper Tower in Marbella with a sea view doesn’t seem like a major ask and this is what was presented to me by prospective clients this Thursday.

Thursday morning I got a call from a perspective client from our sister site Spanish Hot Properties which has over 12000 properties from 400 agents listed on it. These clients were asking for information as to the location on just one of the 12000 properties in the Costa del Sol region. It was clear they had been to every other agent in town and as one last resort decided to try the company they should have started with but I would say that wouldn’t I?

The only thing these clients had found was an apartment in La Corniche with all the problems that development has. The major killing point was twofold with the first one being that they were looking for a panoramic sea view and the reality here is that 500,000 actually isn’t enough. They were obviously very picky as you would expect with clients prepared to part with 500,000 in the worst Spanish property recession in living memory.

However just like prime location in London in the UK there just isn’t enough of the type of properties these people were looking for and they really needed to come to terms with what their budget would buy them and all this illustrated was there is no recession for prime location Marbella property unless your prepared to take a view and make a compromise which these clients were not prepared to.

Saying all of that had I been given more than 24 hours if the property existed I would have found it for them or at least helped them to realise the options that were available to them in regards to property for sale in Marbella.
