Start-up your own barbers

Because of the disastrous recent fiscal climate lots of people have been sacked from their job due to no flaw of their own…simply a set of shocking conditions…they are right now scratching their heads thinking where now? In the back of their mind they have been thinking – “should I establish my own barber business?” However where do you go for advice like that?

Accordingly how do you run a new venture? You’ve forever been the one who is told what to do. Right away the shoe is truly on the other foot – you allocate the commands now. But what orders do you give to your staff? What indicators do you dispatch? How do you realize if what you are saying or doing is the most suitable thing for your new barber business? It was straightforward in the past…the boss spoke…and you executed what he/she said and you got rewarded at the end of the day. Having your own venture is a little trickier, if you get things wide of the mark now, not only will you not get remunerated (or get paid less), your lack of decisiveness could impact in the negative upon your staff.

Be thorough when running your own business – for sure you like to make money, but not at all costs. What are the costs of business compared with just being an employee? You have more accountability to yourself, your family and employees if you have any – they are all dependent on you for their financial safety. Gulp! Operating your own business commonly means working longer hours and you may perhaps not make any money from working those longer hours where formerly you may have got paid per hour/day. A guaranteed salary!

However knowing that you can easily pay your mortgage at the end of the day is great.

Were you one of those at school? Who’s class statement said…”Nothing good will come out of this person!” What a feeling that would be to go back into your old school and say to your old teacher – “look I am running my own business now – how is the teaching going these days?”

We live in a big world; their are thousands of barber businesses – but they aren’t all identical; as a new entrepreneur it is your job to run your business the finest way you see fit by your experiences you’ve gained in life so far.

Not many people begin their own business – most people don’t have the knowledge. The point is do you have it? Are you going to propel yourself in business as well as in life?
