The LG KP500 is also known as the LG Cookie. This handset boasts of a powerful feature set that is a great bargain considering that the phone has a low price.
Originally released in black the LG Cookie was subsiquently launched in further pink and silver coloured casings, but now there is a forth colour to add to the range in the form of the LG KP501 White edition.
This latest addition to the budget touch screen range offers exactly the same features, design and technology found in the other three models, it simply exchanges the outer casing colour for a new cool white finish.

Hardware
The LG KP501 Cookie is available in several attractive hues like Black, Vandyke brown, Anodizing Silver, Elegant gold and Delicious white. It is a small, compact phone with vital statistics of 106.5 x 55.4 x 11.9 mm. It is extremely light weight at 89 grams. It has a TFT resistive touch screen that supports 256 K colors and has a resolution of 240X400 pixels. The touch screen is 3 inches wide making viewing videos, playing games and internet web page viewing more enjoyable.
Applications
The LG Cookie has applications that find use in ordinary life like clock, calendar, calculator, alarm, to-do-list, organizer, document viewer, voice memo and T9 predictive text technology for faster and easier input.
Entertainment
The LG KP501 has a 3.2 Mega pixel fixed focus camera. The camera does not have any flash. However it has a 2 times digital zoom to help taking of better quality photographs. There are applications for editing photos on the camera itself, so you don’t need to download the photos into a PC for editing. These editing abilities include the provision to write or draw all over the photograph. You can browse your pictures either from the photo gallery or you can use the slide show feature. This attribute slides images from right to left. You can also manually slide images using the stylus.

The video playback abilities of the LG Cookie are not awesome. It can record only MPEG4 video at 24 fps at a resolution of 240X400 pixels. There is no support for DivX and Xvid video files.
The KP501 Cookie has a music player that supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/AAC++/WMA audio formats. The audio player has many adjustable equalizer settings. The phone has only 48 MB internal memory, but the memory can be enhanced to 8 GB with the help of a micro-SD memory card for storing tunes.
It has an FM radio so that you can tune into your favorite radio station for music, news and weather reports. It supports 64 voice polyphonic and MP3 ring tones.
The LG Cookie phone enhances your internet experience with wap 2 technology and EDGE technologies. It has no 3G and Wi Fi facility which is a major drawback.
The LG Cookie can support Java games and allows download of games from the internet too.
Other features
Since the Cookie has Java MIDP2 support it is possible to install third party applications. The phone has a vibration alert.
It has USB connectivity for connection with other devices.
The LG KP501 is bundled with a stereo headset without sponge, a USB cable, charger, 1GB micro SD memory card, protection film and a manual and PC suite CD.
The LG Cookie despite its low price is packaged with fun filled exciting features and is definitely worth a buy.
